What this site is
Altstamp publishes free checks and guides about website accessibility for small businesses. By using the site you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
Not legal advice
The guides explain accessibility standards and the questions owners ask about them. They are general information, not legal advice, and reading them does not make us your lawyer. If you have received a demand letter or a complaint, talk to a lawyer licensed where you do business.
No guarantee of conformance
A check on this site tests one thing on one page at one moment. Passing it does not mean a page or a whole site conforms to any standard, and it is not a substitute for a full audit by a person who tests with a keyboard and a screen reader. The site is provided as is, and we are not liable for decisions made on the strength of a check or a guide.
Using the checks
You may use the checks for your own sites and for clients’ sites, and print or save the results. Please do not copy the guides wholesale onto another site, and do not use automated tools in a way that puts a heavy load on this one.
Links to other sites
Guides link to standards bodies, government pages and vendors so you can read the source yourself. We do not control those sites, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on them.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions go to contact@altstamp.com or through the contact page.
